Marlowe & Finch started in 1992 when Geoff Finch put a single card in a shop window on the Promenade. He sold the house in a week, and then the one next door. The card became an office, the office got a second desk, and that is more or less where we have stayed.
We deliberately keep our books small. It means we actually walk every home we sell, we know the lane it sits on, and we can tell a buyer whether the school down the road is any good. You will always speak to one of us, never a call centre.
Thirty-two years on, most of our work comes from people we have sold to before, or their children. We think that says more than any league table could.
No layers, no regional managers. Just the three of us, and we answer our own phones.
Joined as a Saturday junior in 2004, bought into the business in 2015. Knows every footpath between here and Stow.
Put the first card in the window in 1992. Still does the listed and period homes, because nobody loves them more.
Runs the lettings side and most of the viewings. The one you will likely meet at the front door.
